A trip to the eastern part of Crete is a little off the beaten track, as most tourists tend to visit the western part. We found our oases by the Mirabello bay just utside the small town of Elounda, from where we went on our trips arround the countryside.
We saw small villages with an authentic feel and bigger citys with a relaxed vibe, along with small seaside villages with buganvillas and blue painted wood.
The venetian harbor in Sitia in the north western Crete.
The beautyful palm beach in Vai.
A vue along the Mirabello bay.
No trip to Greece without a photo of a blue door.
The classy windmills at the Lasithi plateau.
The calm blue sea in Mirabello bay between Plaka and Elounda.
Stunning Spinalonga peninsula in Miarabello bay
