Prior to my visit to Cote de Azur and Menton in southern France, I must admit that I was not absolutely thrilled about visiting France again. Due to the experiences I had from many weeks of ski holidays spend in the Alps of France.
Let me make it clear, that I just loooved the little gem Menton, and the french people I met on this trip was totally nice, helpful and willing to do their best to speak english. #goawayprejudice
We stayed in the most adorable apartment in the stunning Winter Palace i Menton, which is situatede close to the Italian border, and where European aristocracy came to escape the cold winters back in the days.
Below you can se the amazing view from the apartment.
Tiny streets in the old part of Menton with the characteristic red and yellow colored houses
This mezmerising view of the old town of Menton is from the quay at the new harbor.
The next two pictures is showing the view from the Cementery of the old Chateau, just on top of the old town in Menton. It is a very peaceful spot with the best view.
Unfortunately I cannot tell you how you will find it, because we struggled a lot and only found it just when we were about to give up, despite that we were four women to look for it, or perhaps because of that…..? #irony
*the top photo is another pic from the Cementery of the old Chateau.
